TermbookSchool term dates by council

Privacy notice

This notice explains how personal data is handled when you visit Termbook or contact its operator.

Who is responsible

The person responsible for the site and its handling of personal data is Orel Zigi, Ariel Sharon 4, Netivot, Israel. You can contact the operator at orelzigi2@gmail.com with questions about this notice or your data.

When you visit

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. in San Francisco, USA, which processes technical access data, such as the requested address and IP address, to deliver pages and keep the site secure. Cloudflare retains access logs under its own privacy policy.

This processing is based on legitimate interests in delivering the site and keeping it secure. The site has no accounts, comments or newsletters and currently shows no advertising and uses no analytics.

Your saved council choice

Choosing a council on the home page shows its next half term and next end of term with countdowns. Your choice is saved only if you tick "Remember my council on this device". The box is unticked by default.

The saved choice is kept in your browser's local storage on this device. The finder does not send your selected council or saved preference to the site. Opening a council page makes an ordinary page request to the host, which may appear in its server logs.

Unticking the box or choosing "Change council" removes the saved choice. You can also remove it by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Cookies

The site does not use cookies. If you ask it to remember your council, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage.

Email

Emails sent to orelzigi2@gmail.com are handled by Google, the email provider for that address. They are used only to reply to your message and correct errors, based on legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and maintaining accurate information.

Where data is processed

The operator is based in Israel, outside the UK. UK adequacy regulations recognise Israel as providing adequate protection for personal data, allowing covered transfers from the UK without additional transfer safeguards. They include the European Commission's decision 2011/61/EU on Israel, which UK law kept after the UK left the EU; in its review of 15 January 2024, the Commission found that Israel continues to provide adequate protection. Other data protection duties still apply. The hosting provider may also process data outside the UK.

How long data is kept

Emails are kept only as long as needed to answer them and for the operator's own records, and can be deleted on request.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, where applicable. Contact orelzigi2@gmail.com to exercise your rights.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). The site does not make automated decisions about people.
